Charlie the Monkey Charlie the Monkey

Is it really February already? I can't believe it!

Sorry that we've not updated the site much so far but we've been gigging constantly this year and it's been our maddest January ever! First we had the Curzon fundraiser for Terry's wife Elaine and her University group trip to the Gambia. We raised over £600 on the night at the Curzon and made the local papers. We'd all like to give a BIG thank you to everyone that came along and supported the night and all those that made it possible.

We followed that with our first Cauli gig of the year in our new 3rd Saturday slot and we were pleased to see a good crowd out, especially as it was a cold rainy January night when no one has a lot of money to spend. We had a great time and hope that we banished the winter blues for the enthusiastic crowd.

The next week - our first Nap gig of the year. Another fun night with all of our favorite fans in attendance.

Finally, we had our first Valentine gig for what seems like forever! Actually, I think we missed playing at the Valentine completely last year somehow but it was a welcome return, especially when a group of partuicularly flexible young ladies hit the dancefloor to practice their handstands and splits (I kid you not!) while we banged through "Take Me Out", before Terry bagged a peck on the cheek from a particularly cute blonde stage invader (Luckily, Elaine didn't take offence :-)

So here we are gearing up already for our next Cauli gig on Saturday. Hopefully we can get some time to work on some new tunes soon too. Rumour has it that "We Are The Champions" and "Long Road To Ruin" might be in line for the Monkey See treatment soon.

OK, so that's all for now. I'd just like to say a quick thank you to the Anthem boys for welcoming me into their happy band over Christmas and the New Year - I had great fun flexing my RAWK muscles with Kenny and the boys so thanks again lads. :-)

Monkey See Y'all Soon!

Andy :-)
