Charlie the Monkey Charlie the Monkey

Hi Monkey Nuts out there. Sorry it's been a while since our last post on the news page but we've been busy boys and have been having some trouble updating the site due to where it was hosted. We've now resolved these problems and are back with a vengence and a new enthusiasm for updates to keep you guys in the loop.

We'll be looking to upload photos and get our gallery going (I know - it's  taken a while) so if you have any photos you want us to use of you or your friends at our gigs or of us doing our thing, please e-mail them over and we'll start posting stuff as soon as poss!

We're actually on our summer break now as we're all going off on our hols after a hard summer playing gigs the length and breath of the UK (well, from Hornchurch to Bishops Stortford really!). The summers been a good one generally (apart from the weather) and we had some particular highlights at the Cauli and at our last Fatlin and Firkin gig.

We've been posting loads of stuff on Youtube too so click on these links to see us playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Your Love Alone" from our June Cauli gigs. Remember - click on "More From This User" when you get to the Youtube site and you can see all of our videos (including my dodgy ones on how to play the guitar to some of these tunes!).

Lastly, some thanks and some apologies. Firstly, apologies to all of you out there that went along to see us at the Lord Napier on 4th August, only to find that we'd cancelled the gig and not updated our gig list! This was due to our access problems so we'll make sure that this does not happen again. And a final thanks to our mates Vicky and Sharon for requesting Purple Rain as a birthday song for Vicky. I love Prince and this was the only way the guys were ever going to agree to play one of his songs and, even though we murdered it, it was great fun for me to play. :-)

A final big thank you from Dennis too to all of the MSNs (Monkey See Nuts) that turned up to see him sing in his Genesis tribute band "Los Endos" at the Cauli on the 11th August. Rest assured though that Den is a Monkey See man through and through and that he's not leaving us to become the new Peter Gabriel just yet. :-)

OK, new songs in the pipeline for the autumn are Had Enough by The Enemy, Teenagers by MCR, Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis and by Same Jeans by The View. They're all sounding pretty cool in rehersal so they should rock live. :-)

Anyway, see you all very soon.....

Andy :-)
