Phew! What a top night last night. Cauliflower on the second Saturday in January in the fallout of the credit crunch. Chances of a decent crowd? Slim, we thought. But no, we actually saw a really good turnout of enthusiastic music fans (maybe a good few Expose fans who didn't realise that we had swapped dates this month?), all of them up for a good time and a party - and we like to think we delivered! We played 2 sets of 70s classics and up to date indie smashes. Great to see so many of our regulars there too, plus Dancing Dave ( who kindly gave the gig a bit of a plug on his MySpace page and a few of our other favorite people, including Kenny from Anthem, who got up with us and stormed through a great version of Vertigo. We were also joined on stage during Teenage Dirtbag by Joyce, who's joint 50th birthday party (along with the delightful Dawn) we are playing next month. Anyway, enough about the night, here's a couple of videos for you to get a flavour of what you might have missed! Here's Hush (featuring Stu on keys) and Starman.
So, a good start to 2009 after a good end to 2008. Hopefully, if there were some Expose fans that were maybe seeing us for the first time last night, it won't be the last time and they'll be back to see us again soon. Andy :-) |
