Well, it's been a bit of a strange month this one, with us playing a couple of gigs and putting some new songs into the set for February. We've been rehersing hard (OK, not that hard actually if truth be told :-) and have added Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting (Elton John), Run (Snow Patrol), Rock The Casbah (sp?) and (rock fists in the air everyone!) Living on a Prayer to our vast repertoire of rock classics. They all sound pretty good too, although the last chorous of Living on a Prayer is actually IMPOSSIBLE to sing (as every covers band knows), so if you hear us doing that, we'll expect you all to join in and give us a hand hitting the high notes.

Gig wise this month, we have played a couple. We started off with private party for Dawn and Joyce, Cauli regulars that I'm sure a lot of you out there will know, which happened to be on Valentines night too. Then last Saturday, we played at the Cauli to give all of the new songs a proper airing (along with the inevitable version of Won't Get Fooled Again, played at the insistance of MS regular Dave Bateman - and no, before you ask, we're not playing it again for you next time Dave! :-)

Anyway, it was a fun night and here's us giving The Killers classic "All These Things That I've Done" a good seeing to on the night (thanks to the crowd for the singing - you can all come again! :-)

On a personal note from me, my Dad Bill passed away earlier this month due to complications from a cancer operation. I've set up a Justgiving website in his memory to donate money to cancer research UK, so if any of you Monkey See fans out there would like to make a small contribution to a good cause in his honour, please CLICK HERE. I played at Dawn and Joyces party a few days later and the band, the crowds and the music have helped get me through this difficult time.

Thanks for all the support everyone.

 Andy
